The "bits" of an operating system determine the length of the words it uses for interprocess communication. The file system organization of a disk drive does not have direct corrolation to the operating system in that regard- as long as the operating system is compatible with the host bus connection and the file system on the disk, it will work- with the caveat that a direct attached storage device such as an external disk can only be attached to a single host computer at any given time.

All USB, FireWire, and eSATA products do not require additional drivers for operation under all modern operating systems. Micronet provides support for all of our storage products when attached to 32 bit Windows hosts, 64 bit Windows hosts, 32 bit Mac (PPC and Intel) hosts, and 64 bit Mac hosts.
